SFX Studio — Sound Effects Generator for Game Devs

SFX Studio is a sound-effects workstation for game developers, by Deer Rock Studios. Generate, edit, process, pack, and bounce retro / 8-bit SFX in a DAW-inspired desktop UI — without needing a full DAW.

Built on the classic sfxr / jsfxr engine, wrapped for real production workflows: projects, FX rack, mixer, tags, pack export, and an optional lite timeline.

Features (v1.3)

Generators & 120+ presets — Instant batches across UI, Combat, Sci-Fi, Retro, Nature, and more. Mutate with reproducible seeds and per-param locks.

Board workflow — Tile grid with waveforms, favorites, multi-select, tags, batch rename (Coin_##), reverse, speed, layer & chain.

FX rack — Non-destructive Normalize, Fade In/Out, Gain, Soft Clip, Low-Pass, High-Pass. Preview matches export.

Mixer — Per-sound gain, mute, solo + master gain. Peak meter with CLIP warning.

Projects — Save / open .sfxproj (board + library + settings + timeline).

Pack export — ZIP with tagged filenames and manifest.json (name, duration, tags, sample rate).

Timeline (optional) — Drag Board sounds onto 4–8 tracks, snap, loop region, mute/solo, Bounce Stereo WAV. Skip Timeline entirely if you only need the Board.

Per-sound Loop — Loop checkbox on each sound for preview; transport Loop (L) for global audition.

WAV import — Drag & drop; buffers stay locked. Sample rates 48000–8000 Hz, 8/16-bit.

Bilingual — English / Spanish. Windows desktop (Tauri). Fully offline.
